How to set up Blackberry roaming in China and Hong Kong

I have a Blackberry Tour 9630 Smartphone with Verizon Wireless Service from the United States. I am supposed to have international roaming ability on my phone. I just arrived Hong Kong today and my phone cannot connect to any network. I did receive a SMS message from China Mobile welcoming me when I first landed. Could you help? Thanks!

Hong Kong has own network carriers (mobile service providers). They are different from China ones. When you are in Hong Kong, you may select one of the carriers manually on your phone and choose bands to 1800/900 GSM: PCCW Mobile, 3 (Three), SmarTone-Vodafone or CSL. If you visit China, please choose China carriers (mobile service providers): China Mobile or China Unicom on your phone menu.
